A Love Poem
Where did you come from?
Out of thin air?
One day you’re a stranger, the next you’re playing with my hair
I had an inkling this would happen, but I wasn’t always sure
There is no doubt in my mind that I do want more
When we’re with each other the hours fly too fast
And when you’re gone I distract myself to make the moments pass
You’re not exactly the person that I had in mind
But I’m so glad it’s you because I’m surprised all the time
Would it be too embarrassing to say you’re a gift from above?
Probably, but who cares, I think that I’m in love
